WITH JOY AND GRATITUDE

Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

- Proverbs 3:3-6

Leaving China and coming home in 2017 was not easy. The thought of reintegrating back into the Philippines after being away for almost 15 years was overwhelming. Despite the difficulty, I said yes, as I held on to my faith and trust in God.

The experiences over the years defined who I am now. The stories that I shared, I owe them all to the Missionary Society of St. Columban and to the Spirit that guided my missionary journey. I am grateful for all that has been and for all that will be. But after four and a half years, I bid goodbye once again.

My heart overflows with joy and gratitude for everything: people I have been privileged to work with, places and families I have visited, every experience and learning, from the start to the end and everything in between - thank you God for this beautiful journey.

Beth is a Columban lay missionary who finished her term as CLM Regional Coordinator last December 12, 2021. She is now preparing for her well-deserved sabbatical. Due to the pandemic, Beth had graciously extended her appointment to the role of coordinator for one year and then, again, for another six months. Thank you so much Beth for your untiring dedication to the job and to your marvelous contribution to both the regional council and to the life of the region as a whole.

We will all miss you so much!
