The New Columban General Council

After separate processes of discernment, prayer and “Conversations in the Spirit”, the Columban General Assembly 2024 have elected the New General Council.  They shall serve for a period of 6 years.
 
SOCIETY LEADER: Fr. Andrei Paz  was ordained in  December 7, 2009 in his hometown in Bangar, La Union, Northern Philipines. He served in Taiwan for a short while, then to China where he worked alongside people with physical disability. This inspired him to study occupational therapy in Creighton University from 2015 until 2018. He served at Malate Parish in Manila immediately after completing his studies until the GA2024.
 
SOCIETY VICAR: Fr. Peter Gerard O’Neill, from Australia, was ordained to the priesthood in 1990. His first mission appointment was to the Taiwan Mission Unit until 2017. Later that year, he was appointed to the Australia/New Zealand Region and on St Columban’s Day 2022 became the Regional Director of Oceania, a position he holds to this day.

SECOND COUNCILLOR:  Young In Kim Gregorio,  ordained in 2011, is presently the Rector of the Formation Program in Korea.
 
THIRD COUNCILLOR: Salustino Villalobos Mondragón, ordained in 2017, is presently assigned to the Taiwan Mission Unit.
