FR. PATRICK HICKEY was born in Subiaco, Perth, Western Australia on April 20, 1930. He died suddenly in the Epworth Hospital, Melbourne on August 1, 2013.

In the morning of the same day, both Elbert and Jerry became permanent members of the Missionary Society of St. Columban. Congratulations!  As we welcome them with joy and thanksgiving, we also continue to pray for them in the next stage of their missionary journey.

The quincentenary was deemed an opportune moment by the different church leaders to strengthen the ecumenical effort towards unity in faith."
